As a core component on the toner cartridge, the toner cartridge chip has three main functions: receiving
information, storing information, and feedback information. The printer is controlled by this information.
The following is a detailed introduction to the three functions.
1. Receiving information: The first function of the toner chip is to receive various information, including the
amount of toner, toner coverage, and print volume of the toner. Theinformation is first collected by the printer
and then fed back to the toner chip for storage. The collected information is irreversible. Because the normal
operation of the printer must be guaranteed, the chip needs to be replaced frequently.
2. Storing information: The second function of the toner chip is to store information. The above information
will store the information fed back to it by the printer, which is only part of its storage information. The toner
chip will also store the number and area information of the toner model, that is, the toner chip can only work
when it encounters a suitable toner. This also determines that the toner chip cannot be compatible with
different toners and different printers. Therefore, the model of the toner chip is almost the same as the printer
toner.
3. Giving back information: The third function of the toner chip is feedback information. To put it more clearly,
when we need to use the printer, the toner cartridge chip can give back the information we need.
